The construction can be traced back to architectural forms of the seventeenth century, after various restorations, the last of which is very recent, it only partially retains its original appearance.

On its facade we find two epigraphs dated 17 May 1926 which was placed to remember how thanks to the munificence of Cardinal De Lai, cardinal bishop of Sabina and Poggio Mirteto, the seminary building had been embellished; the other dated 1733 recalls how Cardinal Ottoboni, Cardinal Bishop of Sabina, had endowed the same seminary with substantial income and benefits.
