Cinema and territory: GeoSabina partners with the Rieti and Sabina Film Festival
GeoSabina will support the promotion and organisation of the 2026 edition, strengthening the connection between cinema and the Sabina area.
GeoSabina and the Rieti and Sabina Film Festival are launching a new collaboration ahead of the 2026 edition, scheduled for 25 November.
The partnership brings together two projects with a shared vision: using culture and local knowledge to increase the visibility of Sabina and create new opportunities for storytelling and participation.
GeoSabina will support the Festival in the promotion and organisation of the 2026 edition, providing its territorial network, communication tools and direct knowledge of Sabina.
Cinema meets the territory
Founded in 2018, with its first edition held at the historic Teatro Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti, the Rieti and Sabina Film Festival is organised by the Fotonica Cultural Association with the aim of encouraging encounters between established professionals and emerging talent.
Directors, screenwriters, actors and filmmakers from Italy and other countries find in the Festival a space for exchange and for presenting new audiovisual works.
The programme includes short films, feature films, documentaries and animated films, with a particular focus on emerging talent and social issues.
Together for the 2026 edition
The collaboration is based on a shared commitment to strengthening the relationship between the Festival and the territory that shapes its identity.
GeoSabina will contribute to the development and communication of the 2026 edition through its website, app, social media channels and the territorial network built over the years.
The Festival will therefore be able to establish a closer connection with the places and organisations of Sabina, while GeoSabina will support an established cultural project capable of attracting audiences and film professionals.
Cinema can thus become a way to tell the story of the territory and bring its places and stories to a wider audience.
A Festival focused on emerging talent and social issues
Since its first edition, the Rieti and Sabina Film Festival has combined the promotion of cinema with a strong focus on social issues.
Its connection with 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, has become one of the Festival’s defining features, through films and discussions addressing different forms of violence and discrimination.
For the 2026 edition, the Festival has also received the Cultural Patronage of NUOVO IMAIE, recognising its commitment to promoting cinema and supporting artistic talent.
A partnership focused on the territory
For GeoSabina, this partnership represents another step in building relationships with cultural organisations operating across Sabina.
Working with the Rieti and Sabina Film Festival means contributing to the development of an established event while strengthening its connection with Rieti and the wider Sabina area.
The journey towards the 25 November 2026 edition will be accompanied by new content and updates shared through the official channels.
