The name comes from the Latin phantasma, a word that refers to spirits and ghosts, often associated with purification and transition rituals in central Italian folklore.<\/p>\n

The Ritual Dance and the Power of Fire<\/h3>\n

The main event of the celebration is the Dance of the Pantasime<\/strong>, where the effigies are paraded and danced through the village square by people hidden inside. The atmosphere is electric, with traditional music, fireworks, and vibrant lights.
