An exciting descent on the Velino River, one of the cleanest rivers in Central Italy. After reaching the embarkation point, we’ll inflate the packrafts, have a short briefing, and then off to the water!
We’ll start with a leisurely stretch to get acquainted, with light rapids and calm stretches ideal for taking photos and relaxing, and then head to the rapid under the Cavallotti Bridge, where the river slows down and gives unique views among historic buildings, and Roman remains. We will navigate the Velino from the point where it meets the Salto to the lock at the John XXIII Bridge.

Discovering the Devil’s Pools: an autumn adventure in the Sabine Mountains,

The Pozze del Diavolo (Devil’s Pools) have become a true symbol of the Sabine Mountains, an enchanting place that is definitely worth a visit, especially in autumn. In this season, the Galantina stream flows powerfully and the woods are tinged with the warm colors of foliage, providing breathtaking views.

Our route is a loop that starts and ends at the Osteria del Tancia. We will start by crossing open spaces, among green meadows, junipers and small patches of forest, until we reach the 964 meters of the scenic Mount Ode. From here, we will plunge into the dense forest, skirting the stream until we reach the clear and fascinating Devil’s Pools, a breathtaking corner of nature.

But the adventure does not end there. When we return, the warmth of the fire lit in the Tancia Hostel House hall awaits us and, most importantly, a delicious final lunch to end the day in the best possible way.

Water and rock adventure: canyoning and river trekking.

Canyoning, also known as canyoning, is an exciting activity that allows you to explore streams plunged into spectacular gorges, wearing a wetsuit, helmet, harness and rope. You traverse the watercourse through deep gorges carved by time, diving into crystal clear pools and descending down waterfalls with the use of a rope. A unique experience combining sport, nature and adrenaline.

Our area offers a variety of trails, each with different characteristics and difficulty. From the simplest gorges, perfect for first-timers, to more challenging sections for more experienced adventurers. All trips are led by AIGC-certified instructors and include the necessary equipment, ensuring safety and fun.

For those seeking a less adrenaline-pumping but equally engaging experience, we offer river trekking. This activity allows you to experience the creek in a more relaxed way, still wearing a wetsuit and helmet, but without the use of ropes or harnesses. You walk in the shallow water, crossing streams and small waterfalls, in a breathtaking natural setting.
